After checking in at your lodge, enjoy a river cruise on the Nile, where you may spot hippos, crocodiles, and various birds such as the African Fish Eagle. As the sun sets, you’ll return to your lodge for the night, listening to the sounds of wildlife that fill the air.

Day 2 is dedicated to exploring Murchison Falls National Park. Start with an early morning game drive to observe diverse wildlife like elephants, lions, and antelopes. These drives are the best chance to see animals in their natural behavior. After a hearty breakfast, take another game drive or visit the top of Murchison Falls for a breathtaking view of the falls as the Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge. In the afternoon, consider an optional activity like a walking safari or birdwatching. Return to your lodge for the night and reflect on a fulfilling day in the park.

On Day 3, you’ll travel from Murchison Falls to Queen Elizabeth National Park, approximately a 7-hour drive. The route offers picturesque views of rural Uganda, with occasional stops at local markets or viewpoints. Upon arrival, have a brief lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, embark on a short game drive to spot wildlife such as buffalo, waterbuck, and various bird species. This park is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, so keep an eye out for them resting in the trees. Enjoy your evening meal at the lodge and discuss the day's wildlife sightings.

Day 4 takes you to Kalinzu Forest, known for its abundant chimpanzee population. After breakfast, transfer to Kalinzu, which is about a 2-hour drive. Once you arrive, prepare for an afternoon of chimpanzee tracking. As you search for these playful primates, keep an eye out for other wildlife, including blue monkeys and several bird species like the Great Blue Turaco. After your tracking session, relax at your lodge and enjoy the forest's ambiance, filled with the sounds of nature and various creatures. On Day 5, you’ll travel from Kalinzu Forest to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which takes around 3-4 hours. This scenic drive reveals the beauty of Uganda’s rural areas. Upon arrival, you will attend a briefing by the park rangers about your upcoming gorilla trek. This is an exciting day filled with the chance to learn and ask questions about gorilla conservation. After the briefing, settle into your lodge and prepare for the trekking experience. Spend the night in anticipation of meeting the majestic mountain gorillas.

Day 6 is focused on gorilla trekking in Bwindi. After an early breakfast, set out with your guide into the forest to track the mountain gorillas. The trek can vary in difficulty, but upon finding them, you'll spend an hour observing their unique behaviors. After trekking, return to your lodge for lunch before transferring to Lake Bunyonyi. The journey takes about 2-3 hours, and you can enjoy the views of terraced hills and distant mountains. At Lake Bunyonyi, unwind with activities like canoeing or simply relaxing by the water. Spend the night at a lakeside lodge.

On the final day of your 7 Day Uganda Gorilla Trekking, Chimpanzee, Wildlife Safari Tour and Culture, you will travel back to Kampala. After breakfast, take a scenic drive back, with opportunities to stop at local markets or attractions along the way. Depending on your flight schedule, you might visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or the Uganda Wildlife Education Center for last-minute wildlife viewing before heading to Entebbe International Airport for your departure.
