Last updated: July 25, 2025

1. Introduction

Welcome to Roads of Adventure Safaris. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By accessing our website or booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Booking and Payment

To confirm a booking, a deposit of 30% of the total safari cost is required. The remaining balance must be paid 60 days prior to the safari start date. For bookings made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other methods as specified during the booking process. All bank charges and transfer fees are the responsibility of the client.

3. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of a confirmed booking must be made in writing. Cancellation charges are as follows:

·        More than 60 days before departure: 10% of total safari cost

·        59-45 days before departure: 25% of total safari cost

·        44-30 days before departure: 50% of total safari cost

·        29-15 days before departure: 75% of total safari cost

·        14 days or less before departure: 100% of total safari cost

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes cancellation coverage.

4. Changes to Bookings

If you wish to make changes to your booking, please contact us as soon as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate your request, but changes cannot be guaranteed and may incur additional costs.

Roads of Adventure Safaris reserves the right to make changes to itineraries if necessary due to circumstances beyond our control, such as weather conditions, road closures, or safety concerns. In such cases, we will provide alternatives of equal or greater value whenever possible.

5. Travel Documents and Requirements

It is the client's responsibility to ensure they have valid passports, visas, and any other required travel documents for all countries visited. Passports should be valid for at least six months beyond the return date.

Clients are also responsible for obtaining any necessary vaccinations and health certificates. Roads of Adventure Safaris cannot be held responsible for any issues arising from inadequate travel documentation.

6. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients participating in our safaris. Your insurance should cover medical expenses, emergency evacuation, repatriation, cancellation, curtailment, and loss or damage to personal belongings.

Proof of insurance must be provided prior to the safari start date. Roads of Adventure Safaris reserves the right to refuse participation if adequate insurance is not in place.

7. Liability and Responsibility

Roads of Adventure Safaris acts as an agent for accommodation, transport, and activity providers. While we select these providers with care, we cannot be held responsible for the actions or omissions of these third parties.

Participation in safari activities involves inherent risks. By booking with us, clients acknowledge these risks and agree to participate at their own risk. Roads of Adventure Safaris cannot be held liable for any injury, illness, death, loss, damage, expense, or inconvenience resulting from participation in our safaris.

8. Health and Fitness

Clients must inform Roads of Adventure Safaris of any pre-existing medical conditions, disabilities, or special requirements at the time of booking. We will make every effort to accommodate special needs but cannot guarantee that all facilities will be suitable for all individuals.

Some activities require a reasonable level of fitness and health. It is the client's responsibility to ensure they are physically capable of participating in the booked activities.

9. Photography and Marketing

Roads of Adventure Safaris reserves the right to use photographs or videos taken during safaris for promotional and marketing purposes, including on our website and social media channels, unless specifically requested otherwise by the client in writing.

10. Complaints

If you have any complaints during your safari, please inform your guide or our local representative immediately so that we can attempt to resolve the issue. If the issue cannot be resolved locally, please submit your complaint in writing within 28 days of the end of your safari.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Uganda. Any disputes arising under these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.

12. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Roads of Adventure Safaris reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The current version will always be available on our website.
