Begin your day with an early morning chimp trek in Kibale National Park. Guided by experienced rangers, hike through the forest in search of chimpanzees. Today marks your first gorilla trek in Bwindi. After breakfast, meet your guide and group, then set off into the dense rain forest. The trek may take several hours. When you encounter a gorilla family, observe their behaviors for an hour. Return to your lodge for a well-deserved dinner.

Take a break from trekking today. Enjoy a leisurely morning, perhaps indulging in spa services or relaxing at the lodge. In the afternoon, consider a guided nature walk or visit local artisan workshops, including the Batwa forest-dwelling people or the Bakiga community.

Prepare for your second trek with the mountain gorillas. Depending on the family you visit, the trek may vary in difficulty.
