Detailed Itinerary Day By Day

Day 1: Hotel to Umbwe Cave Camp

On the first day of your 6 Days Kilimanjaro Climb via Umbwe Route, you'll begin with a transfer from your hotel to the Umbwe Gate, located at roughly 1,600 meters (5,249 feet). After registration, begin your trek into the lush rainforest along a well-marked trail that quickly ascends.

The hike to Umbwe Cave Camp takes approximately 5-6 hours, providing opportunities to observe the vibrant ecosystem filled with various plant species and birdlife. The sound of birds and the rustle of leaves accompany you as you make your way uphill.

Day 2: Umbwe Cave Camp to Barranco Camp
