On Day 3, your trek will take you from Shira Camp to Shira Cave, a distance of about 8 kilometers. This hike generally lasts around 3-4 hours and offers a gradual ascent, allowing for further acclimatization. May you enjoy views of the mountain's varied terrain. you make your way to Shira Cave Camp, situated at around 3,800 meters, take note of the diverse plant life. Upon arrival, you’ll have time to rest and explore the area around the camp. A hearty lunch will be waiting for you, providing essential energy for the day's activities. In the afternoon, you can opt for acclimatization hikes that will further assist your altitude adjustment. Day 4 features a hike from Shira Cave to Barranco Camp, covering approximately 10 kilometers. This trek typically takes about 5-6 hours and includes an exciting climb to the Lava Tower at 4,600 meters, promoting acclimatization. As you navigate the terrain, enjoy wonderful views of the valleys and peaks surrounding you. On Day 5, you will trek from Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp, covering about 8 kilometers. This hike usually takes around 4-5 hours, leading you to 4,680 meters while transitioning through alpine desert terrain. As you walk towards Barafu Camp, you'll appreciate your surroundings, including rocky paths and sparse vegetation. Upon arrival, take time to set up your tents and enjoy lunch, getting ready for the summit attempt.You’ll want to rest in the afternoon, allowing your body to adapt.
